As we conclude our series on “Your Place, Your People, Your Purpose,” Pastor Josh helped us discover how to find our purpose in life. He shared from Luke 19:1-2, which says,ย “Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.”ย This story shows us that even those who seem far from God can have a life-changing encounter with Jesus.
Pastor Josh shared two key points on stepping into your purpose. First, purpose flows from an encounter with God. When we meet Jesus, our lives change, and we start to see our unique calling. Second, we must hand over our passions to God, trusting Him to guide us. As Proverbs 3:5- 6 says,ย “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
